Magical Express Questions

How do you book Magical Express? Do you have to call, do it online, etc. And if anybody knows how many passangers can fit on one bus? Thanks in advanced.

I'm going crazy trying to figure out this whole magical express thing too. I just booked my flight last night, and now I'm trying to book the magical express. There is a phone number to call, but I'd rather do it online. BUT, I can't seem to find the correct link to do it though disneyworld.com.

Here's the most helpful information I've found so far :

Its listed under your Itinerary Details.

The last time I looked it wasn't there, but there has been a major rework on the site. I was able to click on 'Add Flight Information', towards the bottom of the page. Now the bad news, I have tried to put it in twice, each time it takes me to a blank page and it doesn't seem to be saving. I will try again next week.
Good luck!

non participating airline

If you're flying a non participating airline (southwest), do you have to pick up your own luggage upon airport arrival and bring it to the bus?

Nope, just use the luggage tags theyh will be sending you.

As for booking, if the website is causing problems, just call CRO, they took care of me.

Another question: Are the ME vehicles those old Mears Shuttle Vans or are they the large tour busses (or both) ? :veryconfu

The one we rode on was a large bus. I didn't see any shuttles for ME. It was very comfy and it fit quite a few people on it. :)

I just came back a week ago from Disney, and all I can say is, if you want to save yourself a TON of headaches, just use Mears. First, we never received our tags. So I called and we were told to just take our own bags to the Magic Express counter. So we picked our own bags from Delta Song's carousel in terminal B, then proceeded to spend the next 45 minutes walking up and down terminal B trying to find the desk for the Magic Express. We asked twice where to go to two different MCO employees and each time were told a different way to go. Finally, we went up to the main lobby area and finally found two people with Mickey hands. Mind you, there were no signs or people with Mickey hands ANYWHERE in terminal B, yet we had been told that they would be easy to spot once we picked our bags. So after finding the Mickey hands people, we had to trek across to the other side of the airport to terminal A where we finally found the Magic Express desk. Another 45 minutes spent in line to find out we had never been placed in the same, despite having booked our entire trip right through Disneyworld.com. We finally got to the counter when they then offered to go pick our bags up (which I will never trust this company to do having had this experience).

As for buses, there were a ton of Magic Express busses running, but we were stuck on a Disney cruiseline bus. No video on the way to the hotel. We did the express check in at the hotel, which went fine with everything on the return trip. Again, if you want to save yourself a LOT of hassle and just use Mears, especially during the peak times. This was the worst service I've ever encountered and it totally put me and the rest of the people in my party in a very unmagical mood.

I just got back as well. We did the Land/Sea Disney Wonder deal with transfers from airport/park/port (pics coming soon), we got down a day before our package started, and prearranged the early arrival with disney. We were going to go to the resort and drop off our bags then go to our hotel for the early arrival (downtown disney hilton). The concierge cast member said that everything will be taken care of. Anyhow...when we arrived at the airport and went to the ME desk (A side of airport not B side) they said taht we could not ride since our transfers were good only on the day of arrival which would have been the next day. She developed an attitude then told me basically to get my own transportation and I just have to take the loss for transportation by Disney. I told her to get a supervisor right now and that this was a bunch of "winnie the" pooh. I also called the person i spoke to the day before (who told me to call if this happened). The supervisor came and said sorry either get your own transportation or spend the night at the airport and wait until tomorrow. The CM on the phone heard this and wanted to speak with the CM/Supervisor; 5 minutes later I was on the bus and was given an appology by the Supervisor. Upon arrival at the hotel (grand floridian), they canceled our hilton reservations and put us up in the our room (concierge main building) and registered us in there a day earlier and gave us an extra night and day at the park for free. All this because someone was an EEYORE.
