Magical Express Question

I'm traveling to Disney this January in a party of 4...however, 1 member of our party can't come until a few days into the trip. Will she still be able to use Magical Express even though she is coming after the rest of the group is?

Yes, thats not a problem.

Let them know the vairous flight days and times and they will set it up accordingly.

I have had parties arriving and leaving on 3 different days - all with no problem

Thanks

One thing to be aware is that unless something's changed recently, this isn't something you can set up online. You have to call Disney and give them your flight info.

I've also found that sometimes CMs at Central Reservations have problems getting complicated travel plans put into the system properly. I usually call the Magical Express number to make sure that everything is in the system correctly. (866-599-0951)

Definitely call Magical Express directly. We have had our vacation package for a few months but changed arrival dates to get the free dining. However, our daughters cannot arrive when we do and they will be flying. We tried twice over the phone with the CM's but the vouchers would show the wrong people and arrival date. Last time the CM transferred me to a Magical Express rep and we received transfer vouchers with correct names, arrival date, and flight number.

Definitely call magical express as well as stay on top of it when it comes to your package from them. I have had issues with them before on this where I had two friends meeting us on separate days prior, and they never got their DME stuff from them. I had to get them to fedex it to me, and I had to fedex it to them just seven days prior to our trip, it was a bit stressful. When I called they said oh, well we see them on your reservation so they can just check in with the DME when they arrive and they will be all taken care of.... I was ed that I had to explain to them that I wanted them to be able to drop their bags off at their airport like everyone else and go straight to the bus, not have to go to baggage claim get their bag, then do the rest. So again my advice is to just stay on top of it until everyone has their DME package.

While having the tags and vouchers makes things easier, they are not necessary. DME will pick up your bags without DME tags (It helps if you put your name on the outside and also take pictures of them to show the person at the DME desk) and if you don't have your voucher, they can still look it up (again, at the DME desk)

Yes, I understand all that, but why should someone have to go through all of that when the process is supposed to be drop it off at your airport and have your bags show up in your room. If they take care of everything properly the first time before your trip, you should not have to go see the DME desk.

Because you said it was stressfull to have to run around and FedEx the stuff

I had to get them to fedex it to me, and I had to fedex it to them just seven days prior to our trip, it was a bit stressful

Yes, ideally you would have had everything in hand correctly well ahead of time, but somtimes mistakes happen. My point is there is no need to stress and go FedExing the items. 2 minutes with your cell phone camera before your flight and then 5 minutes at the DME desk would have solved the problem - stress free.

In fact chances are the DME desk would add NO TIME AT ALL to your DME trip. With the documentation you go right into the queue and wait for a bus. With no paperwork you go to the desk for 10 minutes, and then get in the exact same queue. Unless your bus happens to come while you are at the desk, you would still be getting on the same bus to WDW.

Again, just letting people know that there is really no reason to stress out of your DME packet does not come on time.
