I called Magical Express today to request more than one luggage tag, The lady told me that all you really need to do is give them your baggage claim tickets at the ME counter and they wil get your bags for you, you dont need to have the yellow tags on them. We could just grab our own bags but with 2 adults 3 small children, and prob 6-7 bags, that would be a little difficult to do.

Providing baggage claim tickets and describing each bag will delay you slightly at the DME check-in [maybe an extra 5-10 minutes]. Not a big deal, but I would suggest calling back and insisting they send additional tags if you will have more than one checked bag per person. So long as they can reasonably get the extra tags to you, they should. They are providing a service and you should be able to benefit fully from it.

When they announced they would only send one tag per person instead of two, they said they would provide more if requested.

Ah, in that case they were giving you the correct information.

If you have a digital camera and can print off pictures of your bags, it will speed up the process at check-in. Usually, they have a big plasticised board with pictures of every possible shape and style of baggage and ask you to pick out which most closely resembles each of your checked bags. Having a photo of each bag to give them was a godsend when I didn't have the yellow tags in time for a trip.
