Magical Express and Hotel Check-in Help!

Hello all...

My mom and I have decided to take a quick trip to the world next week and I had a few questions about magical express and hotel check-in.

Let me describe our situation first... I will be working out of state for a few weeks and I decided to fly to MCO Friday to Sunday. I booked my air (from a different city), hotel, and magical express. A few days later, my mom said, I would like to go as well and we will split the room, etc. So, we booked her flight and added her name to the reservation. I called magical express and we got her a reservation on the bus. This all happened on last Sunday...

Forward too today... I received my yellow DME tags, however I will not be using them. My mother has yet to receive her tags, can she use my yellow tag even though we are flying into MCO on different flights and at different times? I have also checked our reservation out online and the online reservation only shows myself being booked on magical express and not my mom. Should I be worrying that DME forgot to book her? Or is it if you call DME directly, that the DME reservation will not appear on the online reservation thing on Disney's site?

My question about hotel check-in was... since she is arriving before me, can she still check-in? My name was on the reservation originally (so I guess that makes me the primary guest), however I have since added her name to the reservation.

DME only sends tags to the individual who booked, but if you can get them to her she can use them. They send one for each person.

The arrival/departure info you provided won't show up on your Disney reservation, as long as your info is with DME you'll be fine. You'll get an envelope the night before you leave with departure times, if your mother isn't listed then, you can call and they'll fix it.

I think you have to be there to check in, since you're the primary on the reservation, but I'm not positive.

Never done DME but For the hotel, you need to be there at check in.

I'm not sure if this will help, However my family never received the yellow tags when we booked, so I called Magical express my self to make sure we were booked on it, we were not and this was a week before we were leaving. So they booked us, but Magical express said that they couldn't get us yellow tags in time so we could do 1 of 2 things.

1 Pick our bags up from baggage claim and bring them down to the Magical express terminal, our selves.

2 Just proceeded to the Magical express terminal after getting off the plane and present our baggage claim tickets to the Magical express desk they would retrieve our bags and send them to our resort.

We opted for #1 we brought our bags to the bus and stored them under the bus for the trip to the resort. When we arrived at the resort our room was ready and we brought our own bags to our room.

You can call and add tell them she will be checking in because she is arriving first this happened once before when I went with my mom she drove I flew her name was on and I was checking in I just had to give them my moms address bc she called the day before and told them I will be checking in and gave them my full name. hope this helps!

check in

I stayed at the yacht club and my friend from another state was coming to stay with us. I was the primary person on the reservation, but she got there first and had no trouble checking in. I did call the resort ahead of time to make sure that was o.k. I checked in as well when I got there. This was a few years ago. I would just call the resort to let them know.
