Magical Express a day or two early?

Need some help. We were planning on driving, but now considering flying. I have used some of my travel rewards to book a room at Lake Buena Vista Holiday Inn for 2 nights before our Disney World Vacation starts. We figured we would get in late one night and then have a day to sleep in, use the pool, walk around DTD before we jump in the chaos -- good way to get kids recharged after long trip.

Question: Can I take ME a day or two early to my resort, have them store my bags, and then grab a cab to my DTD hotel? Just trying to determine if I need to grab separate Mears shuttle to Holiday Inn, then cab from Holiday Inn to my resort hotel on check in. A lot of luggage moving -- that I thought maybe if I could take ME early I could just pack overnight carry on for my night at the Holiday Inn....any help would be appreciated.

To confirm Disneydreamer's post, DME will not transport you or your luggage before the arrival date on your reservation, nor will they transport you later than the checkout date.

I thought so but I figured I would ask. This makes sense otherwise, they would have a big luggage management issue at each of the resorts. I am thinking about scheduling a Mears shuttle to the Holiday Inn, then a car service for the morning of check in. Need to balance out with just getting a rental car for a day or two --- but did not want to deal with kids cars seats and such on the plane. Thanks for the help.
