I posted a quick report earlier and reported that I was disappointed with the quality of WDW! I would like to give an in depth report of my trip!
Day 1: May 6...arrived at Sanford Airport around 920pm, grabbed our luggage and headed to Alamo.
After getting our car, we headed for our hotel on Palm Parkway, just outside the Hotel Plaza gate.
For those of you travelling to Sanford and driving to WDW via I-4...make sure you come straight
down on Red Cleveland Blvd to I-4...DO NOT TURN OFF AT ALL! We checked in and then went to
grab a bite to eat and take a quick trip around the property....boy, does everything look
different in the dark!
Day 2: May 7...took this day to do our shopping for souvenirs for family and friends.
Day 3: May 8...our adventure for this day began spending a few hours at Animal Kingdom. We only got on the things we absolutely wanted to ride. Early afternoon, we made our way over to Epcot for the remainder of the day. Here, again, we only got on what we absolutely wanted to save time. I read up on all the park times and crowd levels this time of year, but they must have changed since!
We only got on a few rides...looking back we should have spent a lot more time for this park...forgot what it had to offer! Then when I realized it, it was too late. But we did end our evening with Illuminations: Reflections of Earth show. And as I remembered, it was awesome and brought tears to my eyes as I remembered my time as a Cast Member at Epcot.
Day 4: May 9...this was the day we were waiting for...Character lunch at the Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh and friends! We made our way to the Studios for a quick walk of the park...can't remember much, but only remember go in Muppets. We had ressies for 105pm for lunch, we sat down at our table and did not dare get up for fear of missing the characters!
Even though we only at 2 small plate fulls of food, the experience was worth it! I never did a character meal, but would encourage everyone to do it!!!!!
Day5: May 10...we were so tired and hurting from walking, we just took the day off and just hung around the hotel.
Day 6: May 11...this was our day for Sea World! Neither of us had ever been there, so this was going to be an adventure! Again, we had our agenda and had a great time. This is definitely a 1-2 day park. We had a free 2nd day but decided no to take advantage of that.
Day 7: May 12...this was Mother's Day and decided to give my friend a little something since she was a mother. She had here eyes on these coconut patties covered in chocolate, I saw a similar product at MK and bought here 2 packs! (AWWWW, how sweet!) We then used this day to finish up any shopping we had left and spent most of the day at Downtown Disney. We got on Characters in Flight balloon ride. It was awesome, definitely recommend it! And as our last night was winding down, we decided to do laundry and pack and hang at the hotel!
Day 8: May13...after a quick breakfast, we headed to the airport and back to our boring lives that we lead here in Pennsylvania.
Overall, even though I said I could sense the greed for money and the poor quality of show I sensed, I would MOST LIKELY plan a 50th birthday trip in 4 years! But only time will tell!
Thanks for reading and bearing with me with all my gripping!
