Magic Your Way Premium Package??

Hey guys.. My wife and I are headed up Oct 17-22 for the F&WF. I made a decision to include the Magic Your Way Premium Package (Used to be called Dreammaker Gold Package) The package has upgraded all of my tickets to Park Hoppers with PI, DQ, and watertparks. From what Im reading it also includes 3 meals daily at any resturant or counter serivce except Victoria and Alberts. I called to confirm and Disney Dining stated that there is no restriction or special menu (1 app, entree, desert per person per meal).. I'm already in heaven as you can imagine, but I also find out all tours, recreation, and cirque is also included.......

Im wondering if anyone has ever traveled on this plan and if it is worth the extra 1500 it adds to our vacation..... Not that I can change it (my wife is in love with the package)

We did the gold package in 04. It was great! We averaged about $75 for breakfasts (several character meals), $125 for lunch and over $200 for dinner each day! We were able to try a lot of different foods we normally would not eat due to the price. My 2 year old, at the time, just shared our food because there was so much of it! Because of our son's age we weren't able to take advantage of the tours but we still got our money's worth. Cirque Du Soliel was awesome! We called as soon as we booked our package and got 1st row seats. One of the guys popped a wheelie on his bike in front of is and his front wheel was no more than 6 inches from my son's face (3D without the glasses).
Next year we plan on using the Platinum package. Now I have 2 boys and we'll be taking my 16 year old niece as a nanny. We plan on taking much more advantage of the package this time. We're planning on playing at least 1 round of golf, Dolphins in Depth, Mouse boats and such. Just be careful to spread your meals out some. Due to my parents going with us last time we had to plan our meals around my Mom's eating schedule. She's a diabetic and very used to eating around 8am, 12 or 1 and no later than 6:30 for dinner. AKK we did feel very stuffed. This time we'll do earliest breakfasts possible, then around 1 for lunch and around 8 for dinner. This is our normal schedule at home and it should work well with missing the "typical" meal crowds. Hope you have a great and magical trip!

We (me,wife and 4yr old) did the package in Dec. First thing to note, it is A LOT of food if you are trying to really take advantage of it.
We did character breakfasts almost every morning, in addition to Jiko's, Cali Grill, Fulton's, Ohana etc for dinners, and lunch at what ever good sitdown place was close. By the end of the week I wanted to take a day off from eating.

Cirque was closed when we went and they gave us $250 in disney gift certs to make up for it.

I will say this as Husband & wife you may be ok getting around and doing everything, for us it was our son's first time and we could in no way do all that was offered in the package. It has so much stuff you could just about never go on a ride in a park because of it.

package

We did similar way back when it was "gold KEy". It worked out for us because we like mael times as breaks as well. Kids took advantage of all the recreation stuff like boat rentals and such. It really depends on how you doit at Disney. IF all you do is go hard at the parks from open to close and don't take time for nice dinners and such, its not worth it. If you can take advantage of some of the misc. stuff and have your nice meals then it is.

In my humble opinion

I've never done the "Gold" plan, but from what I've heard about it from others who have, its awesome. You guys should enjoy it and I hope you have fun at the F&WF. :)

yes, with the premuim you can do the luau or hoop de doo as one of the meals or even do them every night. As Jim said you really need to be ready to NOT be a park warrior to get the most out of the package but it's a lot of fun.

Good Plan

My husband and myself have used it on our last two trips. We like it because we can order from a menu with out worry what the bill will be. The only downfall for us was that it seemed we planned our whole vacation around what sit down ps we had. I had made them all at home before we left, and it seemed we spent the whole vacation eating our way through Disney. You kind of feel you have too considering how much you pay for the plan. This time we are going during the free-dinning plan so we are going to take advantage of that, less sitting down, and more Disney fun in the parks. Just make sure to catch Cirque du Soleil, make your ps before you leave home. it's a great show! Have fun!!!!!
