Magic kingdom train

Hi guys,
We are going to WDW at the end of Oct with my train obsessed 2 year old. Is the train at Magic Kingdom still running? I think I read they are going to have to close it for Tron Construction but I can’t remember or find when?

Yes, it will be open, they are not closing it until December.

Just checked on Touringplans and it said that it was closing in December. You should be good.

...how long is the train supposed to be down?

My Train Engineer friend has stated for more than a year. However, this may be shorter or longer based on construction delays, weather, or other factors.

I wish they'd take this upcoming closure as an opportunity to really spruce up the scenery along the ride. I'm sure we won't get a diorama or anything like that but they need to do something.
