MK is scheduled to be open till 3am this coming Saturday the 12th. What type of crowds are they expecting this weekend? Seems crazy to see this outside of National Holidays and peak summer.

3 AM EMH are fantastic. One of my absolute favorite things to do. By about 1:30 the place is empty, and just about every ride is a walk-on. It's wonderful, plus at 3:00 you can take the most fabulous pictures of the castle beautifully lit up on a deserted Main Street.

For sure!

Nothing I love more than taking photos of an empty Magic Kingdom!

I LOVE the late night EMH's at MK...I remember literally riding Buzz Lightyear 12 times in a row, and having to run through the queue to get right back on.

It's Jersey Week this week. Huge crowds will be descending from the Garden State. I will be there as well, so hoping to take full advantage of the 3am EMH to help with the crowds.

I'll be there as well. Although I am thinking I might avoid MK on Saturday. I have reservations at Boma for 6:30, so maybe after dinner we will head to DTD for the night.

Being from Jersey, and my wife a teacher, this is our second straight Jersey week. I can't imagine one state's 2 day break can seriously impact crowds that significantly can it?

Could be the combination of Jersey Week, Festival of the Masters, last week of Food and Wine, and Beginning of MVMCP just created a perfect storm for crowds?

I have waited in a 45 minute line for SM at 2:30am. Sometimes it can be crowded yes even at 3am.

What is Jersey Week? From what I have found its when schools are let out for Fall Break (or some other reason) in the Jersey area and it is said everyone there heads to Disney. However its not an official event for Disney and if crowds are heavy its not necessarily due to Jersey school systems being out.

Let me know if I am wrong and what "Jersey Week" actually is. I like being in the know. :ROFLOL:

I have found Space Mountain to be the anomaly to very late EMH. It seems that it always has a line, but I have walked on everything else. Even gotten to ride Splash Mountain 3 times without having to get off the log before.

"Jersey Week" is the week of the year when public school teachers have a conference on Thur and Fri. Some schools also give kids off for election day, so many parents take the lost week and go on vacation. I remember that when I was younger, this week was a waste of time usually filled with movies and games.

Yup, I love super late evenings at the Magic Kingdom!

I agree lines can a bit of a mixed bag on late EMH; usually that first hour is still pretty packed as non-resort guests are still filtering out but after that many attractions become a walk on. By 2am Fantasyland is usually a ghost town and only the slowest loading and/or most popular attractions have much of a wait. Except Space Mountain. Every 2am or 3am close I've been to in recent years have seen SM posting unexpectedly long lines for the whole evening.

I'll be there Saturday so I'm hoping we can make it all the way til 3am!! I can't saty up as late as I used to lol

See you there. I've never been at MK until 3 because my family can't make it that late. But this time I'm there for business on my own.

MK ALWAYS great late at night. Nothing like grabbing a hot dog at Casey's at 3 a.m. and then drifting out after watching the crowd finally make it's way out.

Back when WL first opened, Roaring Forks was open 24/hours a day, though the grill stopped serving at midnight. But it was extremely very good to then head back there, get some cake and a drink and eat in one of the little alcoves, finally getting back in the room for bed about 4.

Of course, didn't make park opening the next day!

Boys and I still talk about those days fondly. For some reason, Mom didn't make it all the way to 3!?!?

I am usually the only one in my group to stay up and in the parks until these hours. It's great being by yourself at that time. For all who will be there this saturday night, please enjoy. I was supposed to arrive on friday for a week. Those plans got messed up. So all in attendance, enjoy the late hours.
