Thought I'd share this for Magic Kingdom Main Street piano fans.
Derek Paravicini is a musical savant, blind since birth and severely autistic. When he's not playing, the difference in how he functions is utterly staggering. You may have already seen his documentary, "The Musical Genius" or the Ted Talk, "In the Key of Genius."
Derek can play anything. He can play anything he hears back on the keyboard, even after only hearing it once. But that's not his most amazing talent. He can transform any piece into the difference styles of many famous musicians, classical, jazz, ragtime, blues, etc. He is also a creative musician, composing his own pieces loosely based on familiar tunes.
This is as close to Jim playing the ragtime style I've seen.
