Magic Kingdom Flag Retreat

Not sure that I called it the right name, but am I right in understanding that this ceremony happens every night at dusk?

Do they post the time anywhere?

I caught the tail end of it one year and would really love to see the whole thing.

Sometimes there is more to life that fun rides... :)

This is listed on the times of "shows" that you receive upon check in. The schedule breaks down all the parks, all the shows, and this is listed under the Magic Kingdom.

Far as I know they do it every night. My father was lucky enough to be chosen to carry the flag. It was a simple but meaningful ceremony and its something we make sure we see each trip. Its usually at 5:00, but I have heard that the time varies so you can check the daily times or talk to the people at City Hall (although one CM there told me that it is something that Security handles, so if you bump into a security guard, they might have answer too)

Have fun.

I saw the Flag retreat once. It is usually at 5:00 pm at the front of Main Street USA. It is very patriotic and I would recomend it if you are in the area around that time.

My kids enjoyed petting the "doves" before the ceremony. It's an extremely well done and befitting ceremony. I am always amazed by the number of guests who actually know how to render proper honors to the colors of the nation.

The last time, when I caught the tail end, I was surprised at how many saluted the flag. I guess there are a lot more services related veterans than I would have thought, both military and civil.

As a foreigner I found it more approriate to stand respectfully silent and observe, though it did annoy me when I heard one, clearly British, visitor comment that he thought it was stupid.
