Magic Kingdom fireworks schedule for 2019?

I'm trying to get Ohana reservations and coordinate them with the MK fireworks schedule.

However this morning after I made our reservations I went to the MK fireworks calendar for that day and saw that on Jan. 1, 2019, fireworks will be at 8 p.m.! I had assumed 9:15 p.m., my bad. I would have selected a different dining reservation time if I had known. And of course Ohana books up almost completely within seconds so I can't go back and change it now.

Alright -- so I thought, I'll try again tomorrow for a different dining reservation time. The problem is, when I go to the fireworks calendar, I'm only able to view 6 months out, which means I'm unable to view Jan. 2, 2019 so that I can have that information in hand when I choose a new dining reservation time tomorrow morning.

I'm googling all over the place and I can't figure out how to guess-timate what time fireworks will be on a given day BEFORE I make dining reservations at 6 a.m. EST.

Why can't they release the fireworks calendar at least a day or two in advance of the 180 day advance window opening up for dining reservations? Does anyone have any tips -- or info on MK fireworks times for January in previous years? For that matter, fireworks times year round? Are they almost always at 9:15 except on certain holidays?

This site posts a monthly schedule of park hours which includes fireworks. If you look at January 2018 (or any past month in 2018\2017) it should give you an idea of fireworks times for 2019. Fireworks tend to be earlier (8 pm) during the winter months when the park closes earlier.

Also, ‘Ohana isn’t a great place to watch the fireworks from, even if you are fortunate to get a window table (never guaranteed).

We like to do Ohana during the holidays because it's a tradition for us. We are OK with the fireworks being off in the distance just for this occasional dining experience. We have had good luck getting window seats so far but maybe it's just been a fluke. We usually get there about a half hour before our reservation time, check in, ask for a window seat and tell them nicely/politely we are willing to wait as long as necessary if that will help. Then we go to the bar with our beeper and wait. We've always gotten a window seat without waiting more than a half hour to 40 minutes.

Maybe this next time we will not be so lucky. I'm hoping it will work in our favor since our reservations are several hours before the fireworks. That will give us more time to hang out in the bar, lol. We'll see.
