We are staying on Disney in August. I was just wondering do the magic hours for parks generally stay the same in August as they are in July as we want to try and book our meals around the magic hours in the parks?

The days are unlikely to change, but the exact hours (for nighttime EMH) can change as you get closer to your actual visit. Morning EMH has been 8-9 for as long as I can remember (though, I could easily be mistaken).

Generally they are pretty consistent year over year, so you can look at last years EMH schedule for August and feel pretty confident with that.

But, evening EMH has been pared back the past few years.

One thing that others have said, regarding park crowd levels, and I've noted it myself on my trips...EMH days tend to be the days that park is the MOST crowded. Because, people want to do exactly what you are doing to maximize their time. So, that's just something to consider. And, if you have hoppers, not even a concern at all for ADRs.

Do you mean are the EMH on the same days, or do the hours stay the same ?

EMH will follow a pattern. Those parks which are listed as having EMH in July are 99.9% certain to have the same days in August - so, MK = EMH Thursday morning and Saturday evening etc.
Actual park hours will be subject to change up to and including the day that you visit. So on any given Saturday evening, MK will have EMH but it may be that it starts later than the current 10pm - midnight
