Magic Carpet Ride

I may be the only person who was disappinted when Alladin's magic carpet ride opened. I think it's cute, but it's just another Dumbo, not very original. Now I can't draw or anything like the rest of you designers.. but I always thought it would be so cool if Disney would have done a better carpet ride.

Imagine going inside a building, and getting on a magic carpet, the same as they have now with the seats obviously, and the ride takes off on a track and makes it look like your soaring over Agrabah. Maybe below you they show a film (kinda like soaring) so it feels like your really flying over the city etc. Or like the Peter Pan ride flying over a small model of the city. Then as you go on you pass pyramids, maybe birds etc. Then suddenly the ride picks up speed as either you are being chased by Jafar on his own carpet. The tracks would start to go up and down so you can feel it in your stomach, and maybe at one point you end up in the cave of wonders or something and it picks up speed even more as you race through.

If not in MK maybe you could put this ride in Epcot near the Morracco area. This would give you something to do in Morracco.

well, i agree with you in some terms, but this wasn't put in to be a great attraction, sort of a filler, for more guests. :) more was put into it than you probably realize too. I never cared for it at all, until i WORKED there, now I love it!

-that, and there are ways to make it more exciting that Tower of Terror! lol.

I must say that sounds like a great ride idea. I was just thinking the other day that it was a shame they never really made a real Aladdin attraction. But you never know maybe they still will, they could put it in the magic kingdom in the space that is currently stitches great escape. (Hey a guy can wish cant he:D)

What do yo think about my idea about putting it in Epcot's Morrocco? I was also thinking about the ride car itself. It would look like the carpet, but again, like it is now, with seats. Two seats in front, two in back. And their hydrolics would be seperate, so it would be like really riding the carpet. When the "carpet" bounced the front would bounce up first, then the seats in the back would follow. Almost like the way they designed the jeep for the DL Indiana Jones ride, or the time rover for AK's Dino ride.

well, i think it's a good idea... but it's not really a great ride for world showcase... it would have to be educational in my opinion, and not that ride system. Morocco would have a lot of input on it too.

Well, as Aladdin races through Agrabah they could fly over a lot of Morracco, and show various towns, customs, some history, and the market places. Then suddenly our villian of the ride attacks.
