Magic bands available at swan and dolphin?

My family and I will be arriving at the S&D before the gift shop closes and we're going to try to get magicbands from the giftshop.

Are there any limited edition or special magicbands in the gift shop?

Would the YC/BC or Boardwalk have LE magicbands?

Was wondering if anyone here knows the inventory and possibility of the gift shop holding them/charging them to our room... We will be arriving late Monday night.

Welcome to the Boards!!

As the S&D are not technically Disney Hotels and do not use magic bands at the hotel I don't believe they sell the Magic Bands. The other hotels should have a small selection of Magic Bands but their selection is very limited. Depending on when your trip is I would recommend going to the disneystore.com. They tend to have the biggest selection without having to search all over and you can link them to your MDE account before you leave.

The gift store at S&D does indeed sell MagicBands. A friend stayed there last week and bought the plain colored bands for herself and her boys. I don't know for certain if you can purchase specialty bands there, but my guess would be yes, since those are additional money makers .

Thank you for the update. Do you know if they are able to activate them at the gift shop? Or are they restricted to either activating them at a park or through the MDE account?

My best recommendation would be still to get them from the disneystore.com. Most park stores/gift shops have the solid color bands and maybe 4 or 5 others to choose from. Some stores like the pin traders in MK or the Mouse Gear in Epcot will have a few more but no where near the 41 that are currently offered at disneystore.com.

A big mea culpa for me. I just spoke with my friend who clarified her earlier statement to me about her MagicBand purchase. Turns out she was at Guest Relations in the Dolphin lobby. The CM was able to convert some old tickets she had and she was able to purchase the solid-color bands from him and he linked everything to her MDE account. Specialty bands were not an option.

She said there were no MagicBands in the gift store. @BRT, follow @MickeyMomV 's advice and order from disneystore.com if your trip is at least a month away. If you are arriving this Monday night, use your ticket media to enter a park and then visit a park gift store to purchase your specialty MagicBand. You can immediately link it to your MDE account upon purchase and be good to go!

Some of the above posts are just plain wrong. Magic bands absolutely are sold in the Dolphin gift shop. And they are activated for you right there in the gift shop.

At this point I may wait until the next morning and get our family magicbands in the MK.

I can't speak to the Boardwalk gift shop one way or the other because I haven't been there in quite some time, but I can tell you for a fact that the Dolphin gift shop has plenty of specialty magic bands in addition to the regular solid color ones.

Magicbands are most definitely available in Daisy's Garden at the Dolphin and can be activated. I work for Starwood and the gift shop is run by Disney. I just purchased a specialty Haunted Mansion band and had it activated. Commenting without knowing the facts is becoming a huge problem on this forum. Check facts before believing anything here.

Major update!

The shop Disney Parks App has allowed free shipping to the SWAN for pickup when we arrive since it is currently two days before our reservation. I can purchase any Disney parks magicband sold on the app and have it ready for pick up at S&D. This includes the LE Easter and figment bands.
