Magic Bands and DME luggage tags are STILL not here :(

Well, this is my second onsite trip, I am leaving in less than 10 days and I still haven't received my magic bands. The weird thing is that last time I booked through expedia and 10 days later I had them. Now I booked directly through Disney and it has been 17 days and nothing :( I called Disney and they said that if by tomorrow I have not received them yet, I should call them again and they will make new ones and send them to the hotel. This makes me sad because my daughter and I love using them at the airport to check in at DME. Also, luggage tags have not arrived. Disney said that if I don't get them on time I could just hand the DME people my luggage receipt and they will get them for me. I just feel dissapointed because I like to have everything in order before I leave. Anyone else out there with these issues?

What do you recommend I do? I do not want to use the past magic bands as this vacation is supposed to include new ones, it is part of what I paid for.

You will still get the new magic bands when you arrive etc but can use your old ones too until you get there if the worst happens. No biggy you can use as many magic bands as you want as long as they are in your MDE account still. Also as others pointed out you can still use Magical Express but just won't have your little yellow tags if they don't arrive in time but usually if you call they will overnight them to you. Also not a big issue. Don't worry go and enjoy your trip. ;)

The cast member I spoke to never even suggested overnighting anything to me. She said she hoped they'd get here on time....this makes me anxious.

It's the week of Christmas. Have you any idea of how busy UPS, FedEx and the USPS are? Lots of people are having their delivery times of packages and such pushed back (due to whatever delays, ie, weather, misships, etc). Do you have tracking info for them? Our last trip I was given a tracking number to the package that the bands were coming in. I knew exactly when they were coming. Do you have one? Can you track them?

Perhaps you didn't read that I booked 17 days ago. I have been tracking the magic bands which were shipped the next day and nothing has happened in 17 days.

First off, relax. What does your tracking info tell you? How/When were they shipped? What was the last scan of your package (if any?)? Were they shipped Next Day Air? Ground? Camel? Magic Carpet? Again, you're smack in the middle of the worst time of year to ship anything. As others have stated above, as long as your magic bands are within 2 years old, they'll still work (if you don't have your new ones by then). As long as you haven't hit that 6 day mark, chill.

Just as a side note on tracking: I have had packages showing as delivered and not be there. One was a few months ago, it showed up a week later already opened. Another was 2 weeks ago and didn't show up until the next day. Don't always trust the tracking.

You won't receive ME tags or magic bands until less than 30 days out (and they come separately) so you wouldn't of received them yet anyway. Also if magic bands or luggage tags run late like if you haven't received and it's 7-10 days before then call and they can overnight each of them or have magic bands available at check in and you can just follow the process posted above for ME if you don't have the tags. Both are nothing to worry about or be concerned about and has easy fixes. :)

Thank you to all of you who helped. The luggage tags arrived but Disney made a mistake with my address so my magic bands will be waiting for me at the resort. It was very odd since this is not my first trip onsite, but at least they are there. Thanks again.
