Magic Band Questions for Dining

Our next Disney trip is in December, 2016. This will be the first time we will be utilizing the Magic Bands. I know you can link a credit card to them for charging purposes, but can you use them to pay for a sit down meal say The Rose and Crown for dinner. We will be using the quick service meal plan, but there are a few sit down restaurants we enjoy dining in also. Thanks

Yes. You can charge anything back to your Disney resort account as long as you link a credit/debit card to your magic bands/Disney experience account. You will create a pin which you will enter whenever using your Magic band to charge anything.

Hi,
Once you link a credit card to your Magic Band, you will set a 4 digit pin code. You can then charge food or souvenirs to your room through the Magic Band.

A couple of points - first, you can only link your credit card to the magic bands of you're staying on property, i.e., a disney resort. Also in the most technical terms, you are charging the meal, so it would be no problem using the magic bands to pay for your meal

Just to clarify. You are NOT linking a credit card to your Magic Band. You are using your Magic Band to charge to your room and then you are paying off your room charges with your credit card or gift cards or cash or however you want. When you check in you need to set up who has charging privileges and put a card on file to pay for your room charges.
