Magic band credit cards

Through the rest of that calendar day.
Would be a nice feature if annual pass holders could always have it.

Except the band is not linked to a credit card. Credit cards are only linked to Disney Resort Hotel reservations, which are linked to My Disney Experience accounts, which are also linked to Magic Bands.
Disney can't permanently host your credit card on an open charge account. And you wouldn't want that, in case you lost a Magic Band or the code was somehow compromised and a counterfeit card made. At least with a 1-week vacation, you know pretty quickly if unauthorized charges are made to your resort account, and can stop or reverse them quickly.
