Magic Band / Credit Card link question

Does anyone know?:

I know a Magic Band can be linked to the Credit Card you have on file with your room. If someone staying in that room wants their Magic Band linked to a different card, can this be done?

I Dont believe so, however you can get an itemized list of charges from the front desk that will break down which bands were used to buy what. They used to only run the card every 5 days, so as long as the other person goes to pay their charges off before then you should be good.

Yes you can link a different card to a different band.
I believe you have to do it at the front desk though not in advance of your stay.

Personally I don't see much more of an advantage of using a magic band vs using the credit card directly but that's just me.

Except for the fact that you don't have to carry the credit card around and have a potential to lose it, yes your magic band could always fall off, but probably a lot more noticeable

Except for the fact that if you have a Disney Visa you have to carry it anyways...
Besides the fact that if the magic band doesn't work for some reason (have had that happen to me) then you're SOL if you don't have the card with you.
But I can see the slight advantage as long as you're going to actually just let the charges to to the card vs going down to pay them off. When people do that it baffles me since it creates more steps in the process.

As well as linking different cards to different people, the front desk can also set spending limits on bands too. So you can allow your children to charge by giving them the PIN, but limit them to $50 for example. Once they hit that limit you can increase it if you want to.

In the past (pre-COVID), my dad was able to go the front desk and arrange for his magic band to be linked to his credit card. He even set up his own pin.
