Madame Leota on Green Acres

I was stuck at home all weekend and started watching the Green Acres marathon on TV Land. I was in another room, with the tv still on, when all of a sudden, I heard Madam Leota speaking to me. But, instead of calling me my real name, she was calling me Oliver!

To my surprise, Elanor Audley, who played Oliver Windell Douglas's mother is also the voice of Madam Leota, as well as Maleificent and the evil Stepmother (Lady Tremaine). I was in awe of the fact of how much she looked like Lady Tremaine. It's uncanny. I think she had one of the most remarkable voices in the world, right next to Paul Frees. I wonder if there was ever a biography or book written about her.

I was watching it too...esp. the other night when they had the 48 hour marathon. The pig and the catchy theme song are the best!

but let's remember foolish mortals she isn't truly Leota the women whom is Leota was named Leota she was just the head work of both Leota and little Leota aka hurry back at the end of the ride. she just passed recently you know this b/c they just added a tomb for mdme at wdw a fun fact i learned is a tomb is added in the hm at wdw grave yard everytime a person that had something to do w/ the creation of it died. the women you speak of voices mdme and little leota so hurry back hurry back be sure to bring your death certificate if you deicde to join us final arangements can be made NOW!!!!

Yep! I saw that episode too! Though she reminded me more of Maleficient then Leota. LOL.
