For any folks on a mac and are interested.

In OS Tiger, there's a new program called Dashboard where you can have mini programs called widgets run in it.

My favorite is the Walt DisneyWorld vacation countdown:

Thanks!

Wow! I love that one! I haven't upgraded my iMac G5 yet, but I will soon! I've started a folder of widgets I want to use!

Thanks, again!

Yeah, it's both a blessing and a curse. I catch myself checking a couple times a day and realizing that only a few hours has gone.

It's exciting to look at it and frustrating realizing how much more time I have left before I leave.

Also, I didn't mention it before, but it also can be customized for Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disneyland, Disney Cruise and Hong Kong Disney.

Yes, I love this! I think I mentioned it in another thread when it came out. There are tons of widgets out there now. This might be interesting to talk about:
What widgets are on your dash board?

I have Wikipedia, iTunes lyrics, weather, Disney trip countdown, clock, calendar, and kLoOge.Werks.

I tend not to use Dashboard. I like Konfabulator better. But I am going to give it a try soon. My favourite Dashboard widget is the Black & Blue iTunes remote (you can find it at widgetmachine.com). I've run that on the desktop using Amnesty. The spinner on it makes it use a lot of CPU. There is a fix for it somewhere (I just forget where). You have to just edit some of its code.

For all of you Mac geeks out there, have you tried going to any of these sites...

They're all great sites devoted to the Mac and GUI customization (that's where you'll find your themes, icons, and Dashboard widgets).
