OK, so this is the second time there has been a swooping Disney ballad written for a celebration that has a section that for the life of me I can't understand the lyrics to (these female balladeers need to enunciate, methinks). First is the new LeAnn Rimes song. For the life of me I have no idea what she's saying at the start of the bridge. "________ the innocence you thought you'd left behind..." I've had 3 people listen to it, and nobody can figure out.

Going back to the 100 years music (Magic in the Streets album to be precise), the "Imagine" song sung by Kelley Coffey has a moment that I can't understand. It's the bridge as well, but the second line, "Music and laughter... ________________...... happily ever after, imagine the memories when you share a dream come true." It sounds something like "castles and sparkling scenes" but I know that's not it. If anyone is a dork like me and needs to know what the heck these people are saying, let me know!!

OK, now I watched a video of LeAnn singing the song live at Disneyland JUST to hear if I could understand her better. It seems she clearly says "So hold on to the innocence you thought you left behind..." But It doesn't sound anything like that on the album recording. Very confused, and judging from the response to this post I'm the only one who gives a flying fig about this topic, LOLOL. Oh well, I guess I'll have to live with a hole in my sing-alongs... :-)

Have you seen Bad Boys II?? In the drug bust scene at the beginning he "sings" the "Bad Boys" theme song, but when it comes to the actual verse, he sings:

"Bad Boys, Bad Boys, hhhm sniff snuff nahey..."
(Will Smith then says "Man, you've gotta learn the words." to which Martin Lawrence replies "Normally we just sing the refrain."

OK, so I'm laughing out loud right now recalling the scene...OK, I'm a dork...

Back to topic:
If you can't figure out the words, make up your own!
