Luggage Locks

Hi there,

Im leaving this wednesday for Florida....I was wondering if it is still ok to use luggage locks...(I haven't flown in a few years)

If they are going to search through my luggage will I still be with it to unlock it for them or will they break the locks (after Ive already checked it)??

So what do you guys think...luggage locks or no luggage locks???

Thanks

If it'll be searched, it'll be done in front of you, so you can lock it up if you'd like....

Trust me, this happened to us...random selection...they tear apart your luggage....not fun.

I work in an airport in the UK, I'm not sure if the rules are the same as the US but if we want to look in a bag, we have to have permission from the owner and they have to be present. I'm sure they would ask you for a key before damaging your bags.

I was searched and they asked me to open my bags for them, so locks are OK
