I've got a general knowledge of WDW and have just watched a documentary on the parks, but I has never heard of Lucky, a dinosuar that tours DAK, apparently Lucky tours Disney parks all over the world, does any one know any history of Lucky? Is he still around? Where is he? Will he ever be back at WDW? Next month would be handy!!

He was at AK for the Happiest Celebration On Earth. I think he's in Hong Kong Disneyland now. He was a "living character" type thing. He would interact with a Dino Institue scientist as he walked around DinoLand U.S.A.

I saw him a few years ago when he was at AK. I really wasn't all that impressed. They were doing something at the California State Fair last week that was just as impressive. It was a muppet-like character driving around in a little truck and interacting with people. Lucky was always kind of overrated in my opinion.

I got to see Lucky during HCOE at AK and I thought he was cool. It was a fun little show and both Lucky and the "scientist" who was the human part of the show were funny. They played well together.

As mentioned, Lucky was only very briefly in AK and then when to HK Disneyland and then went into storage. You won't see him at the parks again.

But he was the first in an on-going project which has also included things like Dr. Honeydew and Beeker from the Muppets that briefly appeared in Epcot and Wal-E which briefly appeared in DL I believe. The Living Character Initiative is what it's called.

Eventually, hopefully, some of this will become more permanent fixtures in the park. In the meantime, you'll have to just watch Lucky on video.

Thanks for the relies, really interesting, it's a shame Lucky is now in storage, I think an interactive character like Lucky would be popular, when I saw him in a video I thought he was so cute, I would follow him around for hours!
