Low FODMAP at Disney

Greetings!

Our next trip to Walt Disney World is booked for September. The dining has always been one of my favorite parts of the trip. Other than a nut allergy, which was easy to manage, neither I nor my family have ever had any dietary restrictions in the past. Unfortunately, that has changed.

Unfortunately, I am now suffering badly from IBS and related issues in a severe way. I think a good part of it has been brought on my medication changes, and I am still working with the experts to try to find root causes, but at the moment a complete low FODMAP diet is the only way I can effectively manage it and not have it interfere with my life.

I know Disney has always been great about accommodating people with dietary challenges, but I also know that low FODMAP is not one of your standard options (e.g., allergen-friendly, vegan, etc.). Does anyone have experience trying to eat low FODMAP at Disney? Any recommendations? We'll be doing a combination of quick service and table service while we're there.

Thanks for any information!

I have the same ailment. I control mine through diet and exercise. I swim quite a bit. I tried FODMAP, but I wasn't so great with it. Have you tried asking your gastro about Florastor? It's a pretty good probiotic to take. Hope you have a wonderful trip!
