Sorry to the person on here who mentioned her relative, but people who do this should be ashamed of themselves.

Service animals provide necessary support to people who otherwise might not be able to go out of their homes very much, if at all. Just wanting to have your little dog with you is just not the same.

It's already been said, but if this continues, it will just harm the people who desperately need their service animals in order to live life a little more normally.

I have told this story before. We were eating dinner at Les Chefs de France last year and we were seated at the banquette at the rear of the restaurant. The woman at the next table had a Yorkie with her and it was sitting on the banquette with her. When their meal was served, the server brought out a bowl of veggies for the dog and set it on the table. The dog was eating out of the bowl on the table, with his front paws on the table. I'm sorry, that's unsanitary.

I am a dog lover, but this dog should have been on the floor.

WOW. The ADA says you can ask a person what the dog is trained for, however, you cannot ask them to demonstrate said training. Also, a dog whose sole purpose is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service dogs.

I'm not offended. They should be ashamed we haven't seen her in a few years because we won't allow her "Baby" around our kids. It is a nasty little thing that bites.

Unfortunately practically anyone can get a vest for their dog even if its not really a service dog. :(
