Hi,
I am looking at importing a DVD from Australia. If I were to get it sent to the UK, then, because it is over £15 (US$23), it is over the customs limit and so you would have to pay Sales Tax (20% of cost) and a handling fee (£8 - US$12).
So, a DVD that would start of costing £18/US$28.26 would eventually cost £29.60/US$46.47.
So, I was wondering, if I ordered the DVD to my hotel in the US instead of the UK, would the same thing happen?
If you are importing into the US, is there a limit before you have to start to pay extra costs?
