Its very possible that I will be going to Disneyland for the first time next month!:sohappy: I want to know if there is some type of transportation available to/from the Orange County airport or LAX to Disneyland and the hotels. That is the only thing holding me back from going. Also I have started to plan what to do and see for the 2-3 days I may go. Anyone have any tips, hints on fitting everything in? And where to eat? Thanks:animwink: :king: Kristen

Hi. Transportation is quite abundant. Van, cab, limo. Orange Co. is very close. About 20 min. compared to an hour from LAX. DL has built a mini WDW with DCA and their version of DTD. All within walking distance. Shops, restaurants and the like. The DCA hotel has rooms that border in/on the park. Really cool. Don't miss Soaring over Cal. in DCA. Eat at the Blue Bayou next to PotC in DL and a day excursion to the Queen Mary, Hollywood, Knotsberry Farm, the beach or Catalina Island isn't out of the question. Have Fun!

We used the SuperShuttle for transportation between the airports and resorts and had no problem. Think of them as California's version of Mears, but they use large vans instead of buses.

we used supershuttle too... we however did encounter a problem, the guy who was driving the shuttle was late, and we almost missed our flight... at today's standards, we would of. I dont wanna scare you or anything, but it is a good system, but it does take forever to show up at LAX.. we were waiting for 1 1/2 hours

When I went in January I used Airport Town Car. It was well worth it. I have their phone number if you need it. When you go be sure not to miss Disney's Aladdin a musical spectacular. Tickets are free and are on a first come first serve basis. They go fast. You can get them at the entrance to the Hollywood Studios Backlot. It is awesome. Have fun.

Whether you take a cab or a shuttle, or rent a car, the only thing I would STRONGLY recommend is this...Fly into John Wayne (Orange County), NOT LAX!! It is a mess trying to get in and out. If you take a shuttle, you'll be waiting forever at LAX. It's just worth it. Trust me. Even if it costs more money to fly into John Wayne, or you have fewer flight options, you'll still be glad you chose that airport over LAX. Plus it is a lot closer to Disneyland.

Can I bother you to ask for the Airport Town Car # shuflemstr? It sounds promising. I definitely am planning to see the Aladdin show and we are flying into Orange County. Another question, more like an opinion needed... We are students on little to no incomes trying to make this vacation easy on the wallet and we have reservations at Paradise Pier for about 190 a night. Is it worth it to stay in a Disney hotel or would we be just as well off to stay at the Hilton or any of the others around there? We love the idea of the convenience of the Disney hotels let alone use of the pools and monorail but we are questioning if we should spend so much!
I am getting excited about this! This is the first time I will be heading out West to go anywhere:sohappy:

We stayed at the Hilton when we went and loved it!

The cool thing about California (or it's greatest problem) is that EVERYTHING is within walking distance. It is surprisingly compact! We even walked to the parks faster than the Hotel Shuttle could drive us there! It's a nice area. The monorail was not necessary, as it is in Florida.

The Hilton had a great rate ($120 I think, last summer) but I decided to use my Hilton Honors points and get the room FREE for two nights! That's how we were able to make the weekend trip during our Vegas vacation.

You'll have a blast, but check around for lopwer priced Hotels on Travelocity or Priceline. All Hotels will have shuttles to DL or be within walking distance if you want that option! There are TONS of Hotels for WAY less than you are paying. Check it out!

HAVE FUN!

The telephone number is 1-800-794-2794. When you stay at the Paradise Pier you have your own entrance into Disney's California Adventure. You can also use the pools at the Disneyland Hotel. If money is a concern look at some of the Good Neighbor hotels. I have been told they are just as nice. Disneyland.com lists the Good Neighbor hotels. Anymore questions feel free to ask.
