looking for towncar discounts...

Does anyone have any info on where I might find a code or something for discounts on towncars from the airport. Our plans have changed and my family is now driving, which is leaving my parents flying alone. We were suppose to all share a van, not happening now, so I wanted to get them a towncar. I have checked allears and mousesavers. Mousesavers company was a bit to pricey for me. I didn't see anything on allears. I know Tiffany's has a coupon on their site, but I wasn't sure if anyone knew where I might find a better discount. Thanks for any help!

Aside from the $5 off coupons that some of the towncar services offer on their websites, I'm not aware of any discounts.
Perhaps you can call several services and try and "Barter" for a cheaper fair but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

The Towncar firms are under a real squeeze right now with the loss of business from Magical Express. I dont believe many of them are handing around any significant discounts.

My advice would be instead of trying to find a discount, just go with a good reputable company that you know will do provide a good service for your trip.

Our provider here at WDWMAGIC is www.quicksilver-tours.com, they come highly recommended from many of the members here, and myself.

have a great trip!

I would think that now, since Magical Express has pretty much cost the towncar services a good chunk of business and $$$, would be the time for the towncar services to offer major discounts to try and get customers away from Magical Express and back to Limo services.

But on the other hand, I guess that there's no way that "Discount Service" can ever beat out "Free service"

Exactly. It seems that the people who want the convenience and service of a towncar will pay for it, discounts or no discounts. Whereas for anyone looking at discounts, you really cant beat the free Magical Express.

But what would be the purpose of running a business at a loss?

Towncar services

I've recently found out that we'll be staying onsite after all, so I too started looking into towncar service. Sure shuttle is cheaper, but it does cost you time and patience, and I don't even want to touch Magical Express...things I have read about it scares me!! At first, I looked at Mears, but they wanted @$115 plus gratuity for towncar service, and I don't think they make stops to the markets.

Then I read about towncars in "The Unofficial Guide to Disneyworld". They mentioned Tiffanytowncar.com I looked into them and they seemed to be the cheapest of all the ones I Googled. They wanted $95 roundtrip with a $5 off coupon if you book online. That includes all fees (but gratuity) and a stop to a market. I couldn't find any information on their cancellation policy, so I wrote them about it and they have yet to write back...could be a sign; could be an oversight on their part.

I think that's what we're gonna go with, but I will also be watching this thread for more ideas.

I'm taking a trip to WDW in December and it's the first time we are flying..I'm thinking about using quicksilver tours for a limo service...for those of you that have used it...where did you meet up with the driver? was he/she on time? did you have any problems or did they have great service? I'm just hoping to hear from people's personal experiences since I've never done this before. Thanks

We used Quicksliver last May and had a great experiance.
The driver met us right on time at the bottom of the escalator near Baggage claim with our last name on a white piece of cardboard. He was easy to spot. Very courteous and helped us with our bags. He walked us to the towncar which was right near by. On our return to the Orlando airport, he picked us up at our resort almost at the exact time we requested. The whole experiance was painless, courteous and very professional.

We have used 2 other town car services in our trips to Walt Disney World and have found Quicksilver to be a cut above the rest. We will definitely use their service from now on as long as the service remains as great as it has been.

Note: Quicksilver does offer a grocery store stop at no cost to you on route to your resort/hotel, but you must notify them that you will need to stop for groceries when you make your reservation. We did not chose this option.

Have a great trip!

We have used Quicksilver 3 times, and will be using them again IN TWO WEEKS!!! :-) Sorry - got a bit excited there.

Anyway, they have always been on time, very courteous, nice clean cars. I know a town car is expensive, but what's another $100 when you are already spending $1500 - $2000 to go to the World in the first place? We consider it a part of our vacation expense, just like our house/dog sitter is. We used to always use Mears. It's so much nicer to have your own car and driver and a grocery stop if you want!

Hey, on that note, We get in after midnight... are there any grocery stores open that late that we can go to?
