looking for a hotel at St. Pete's Beach..

I am looking for a hotel to stay at in St. Pete's beach but on the beach itsself. I used to stay at the Holiday Inn but someone told me that its being turned into condo's. Please help. thanks.bjlc

We stayed at the Alden Beach Resort last fall for my niece's wedding. It was very nice. There are quite a few hotels right there on the beach. Have fun - it's a beautiful part of Florida!

We stayed 2 years ago at the Best Western. Worst hotel ever!(as in the words of the comic book guy from the Simpsons. The place was dirty, dumpy and the outdoor bar with the live music kept us up most of the night.
