For all those people out there like me that are a long way from going to Disney, I Know how you feel. It is now 588 days until I go and am really jealous of those people in double or single figures.

For all the others like me. IT WILL PASS QUICKLY!:p

I hear ya. The good news for me is that I can make my reservations in 3 days! After that, just make a payment here & there and my time will pass quickly. I only have 502 days to go. :D

This is only my second time going but it seems so long since the last time.:brick:

I thought you could not make reservations more than 499 days in advance. How were you able to book and still have 588 days to go?

danna
I'm guessing the booking is off-site... Since DVC can't book prior to their home resort window, the only other "villas" are not on property.

Thanks for the response. I get confused easily sometimes. I forget there are places outside the parks that are for rent! I've discovered how much I love being onsite.

I've only stayed off-site once, my in-laws rented a place and let us stay with them for free... Every other trip we've stayed on property. Much better! :D

In 1999, my son & I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express on International Drive. Not too bad. Really nice place, shuttle to the parks, I bought my tickets right there in the hotel - I had no idea what I was doing! Honest. I came into a few thousand dollars, told him we were going and we went! 2004, a friend and I stayed at a Motel 6 somewhere nearby. I think the place was about 25 years old. Clean and cheap, but never again! Never. I love staying at Pop Century. I love staying onsite.

P.S. At the end of the day, on our way back out of the parks going to the hotel, they never had signs to point us back to where we started! We ended up on the interstate and some other road, but not until the last day did we end up on the right road the first time. That is another reason to stay onsite. Park the car, use the WDW transportation system!

284 for us. Not as long as some of you guys but I still feel ya pain. The good news is we'll be able to make ADR's in a couple months. Bad news is we still won' know when the MNSSHP nights are until closer to September.

I'm at around 350 right now.
But the my last countdown started around 300, and that came and went so quickly! I couldn't believe how it flew by.
Then the other is still around 660 :hammer:

you should know those sometime around may (i think they're released around then);
also, if you check out the hours, which are released about 6 months out,
and compare them to recent years hours and parties,
you *should* be able to guess before they're released.

I enjoyed our visit when we were off-site, don't get me wrong. Staying for 31 days, I definitely see the advantage as well. But I do love on-site, only because you never seem to leave the magic.

*feels guilty being in this thread...*

With under 50 days, I feel like an interloper...

I thought we'd be able to go this June but our family budget has required us to wait till June of 2009 (246 days). It's been a disappointment but I'm so much more fortunate then many others that I still count my blessings while I wait and wait and wait and wait......:snore:

I think that we are nearing the 700 day mark. It's actually so far away that it is not really necessary to do anything except count down the days until I can actually starting "planning".

With hubby in school and best friend away in the Navy, Oct 2009 will be the soonest we can all go together again. I guess with almost 2 years to plan, though, I should be able to create a heck of a trip.

However, the one benefit is that if I start putting some $ away now, I will have (hopefully) quite a bit to play with come October 2009.:cry::cry:

FYI: Other best friends are in Disney right now. It is not even cute the amount of jealousy I am feeling:cry::cry::cry:

Are you going June of 2008 or 2009? June of 2009 is a little more than 246 days away. But, if you are going in June of 2008, great! Less than a year to go!

Do you know how many Disney Dollars I can save before October 2009?!? Actually, since I am going in May 2009, I still have a ways to go also. But, I have discovered that planning is half the fun. I have several books on WDW and am discovering all kinds of things I haven't done before.
