Long Beach/ DL

Tommorow I am going with my college to a dance educators conference in Long Beach, CA. Our mornings and afternoons are going to be busy, but our night should be free, and it wouldn't be a trip to CA without Disneyland. Can anyone tell me how far away Long Beach is from DL?? Also how much does cab fare cost? We are all to young to rent a car!! And where does the cab drop you off once you get on property?

Long Beach isn't far from the resort - maybe 20-25 min? I'm guessing a cab will cost $30-40, and they drop off at the same area where the hotels drop off, right next to the entrance esplanade. Have fun!!

It took us a bit longer than that to go from DL to the Catalina ferry landing in LB, but not by much. Maybe someone local can steer you towards radio stations with good traffic reports, as congestion did slow us down some. That way if you know one route is messed up, you can have the cabbie take an alternate. The Bay Area has a service where you can call 511 and get a voice activated traffic update for all freeways and bridges, but I don't know if such a service exists in SoCal.

My friends have taken Independent taxi and they usually let up to 6 people ride for the price of one. The rates are

$2.20 first 1/10th mile or 21 seconds or fraction thereof

$0.20 each additional 1/10th mile or part

$.20 each 32 seconds waiting time and/or traffic delay ($22.50 hour wait)

Its' around 20 miles from Long Beach to Anaheim and depending on what time you will be going will determine your arrival time.

You can also check Yellow Cab but they are usually more expensive and I think only let 4 people travel for the price of 1.
