Tower one has caught fire and been evacuated, but thankfully it was controlled to one room and no one was hurt, but the sprinkler system has created a flood and it's a disaster right now!

Anyone coming to RPR beware.

Say wha? See, this irritates me. The hotel rooms are non-smoking. It takes 5 minutes to walk down the hall, take the elevator, and make it to one of the myriad of marked smoking areas.

When I stayed, I was still a smoker, and I respected the rules. Why is it some people can't?

That's awful. lol But they probably do spontaneously combust on Universal property. Hope everything is okay at my favorite resort.

It was a fire no doubt. The best part were families that were walking across the bridge would look over at tower one and the strobes were going off with all the rooms dark, so guests thought it was part of Halloween Horror Nights Hahaha

You answered your question, it takes 5 minutes. Staying at the resort they obviously had the express pass and so they didn't have to wait.

Everything is back to normal basically. Only 11 rooms out of service right now. The staff actually did a great job considering.

That is impressive, they need to install those anti-tamper smoke detectors from airplane lavatories in there.

ack. I am staying there in less than 20 days for the first time. Of course, Uni will probably fix those rooms by then..they are kind of fast at construction!

Well its hard to hide a stuck vehicle at the top of a lift Hill for three hours. Any helicopter or plane could easily get video of that.
