Lockers in Vista/Commons/Chatham

Hi folks!

I'm heading over to WDW in May for the ICP. At the moment, I'm debating whether to bring my laptop or not. My laptop is a widescreen 17 inch monitor, I think... It's about 11 inches deep and 15 inches wide.

I was wondering, how tall and how deep are the lockers at Vista Way/The Commons/Chatham Square (and if possible, the Treehouse Villas)?

Will I be able to fit my laptop, plus obviously other personal items like my iPod, wallet, mobile (cell) phone, passport, money etc?

I'd muchly appreciate any help y'all could provide!

Thanks!

The lockers at Chatham are a good size. You should have no problem fitting your laptop or any other valuables in them. I'm assuming the locker's are the same throughout the apt complexes. Good luck and have fun!

Vista ones are very large. I have the same size laptop and had that in there along with a ton of other things, with no problems.

Incidentally, a wi-fi router's a helpful addition: if lots of people have computers like those in my apartment did, it makes life a lil' easier.

The Treehouse Villas? Do elaborate; that sounds much better than Vista Way. . . . Is there a secret to getting in? Do I need to tell my check-in person a secret code-word to get a Treehouse room?

IF you are an international student you will most likely be put in the commons appartments which is between chatham and vista. I'm in Chatham and thats where they told us internationals go. as far as lockers in the rooms. they are not that grand. just standard highschool lockers with no shelves but two hooks to hold things. I have my camera ds case and cd player but there is no room for my laptop or other electronic devices.

Cultural Rep. Program people get put in Commons. Us ICPs could be anywhere, apprently.

You'll have to help me out though... Being from across the pond, I've no idea what a standard high-school locker looks like. My locker at school was about 12in by 12in. The only US high-school experience I have is from TV... Which isn't always the best source of info ;)

So, how big is a high school locker?

Yeah you are right ICP06, the ICP program is spread out throughout the other CPs at Vista and Chatam.

As for the lockers: I'll be honest with you...I never actually used mine (I lived in Chatam). I had some of the best roommates in the world, and we left our laptops lying around the apartment with no problems whatsoever...granted, we all didn't care if we used each other's laptops to check email, etc, but even I, the dude with the Computer Science degree and someone who can be very picky on where my computer is and who is using it, trusted my roommates and never had a single problem. :)

to be fair its not the roomates you have to wory about it's the ones they bring into the rooms.
Agreed, and I was reserved at first, but three weeks into the program I was friends with everyone they brought over. Plus, we usually liked to take the party out (PI, Jelly Rolls, etc) and let them worry about the cleanup.

But to reword what I said, its pretty much a case-by-case basis, and I would use my gut instinct as to whether or not to put your laptop in your locker. The lockers in Chatam had enough space to put a standard (not a widescreen) laptop in them, but just the laptop itself, and not one inside a bag. Think of them as they said above: a high school locker.
