I stopped in City Hall to comment on this CM later in the afternoon and fill out a comment card, but I wanted to share with the rest of the WDWMagic family how great I thought this CM was.

Her name was Shelley, and I had a hard time seeing her name badge, but I believe she was from Louisiana. She was at the load area for Peter Pan around 5pm, I think it was (shoot, I can't remember the time now), on Thursday 1/17. She had curly hair, maybe glasses, and was "earning her ears."

She was at the end of the moving walkway, and she interacted with each guest "flying" by entering the attraction. She either waved, blew "pixie dust" at guests, or simply smiled and acknowledged everyone. She paid special attention to a group of guests who were traveling together and took up several cars. They were a group of special needs guests, and she took the extra effort to spread some magic to them.

I was extremely impressed and touched that someone who was just starting out so exuded the Disney Difference. I noticed it in the queue, and mentioned it to the older lady (mid-50s, I'd guess) who was actually loading (right at the moving walkway). She blew me off and didn't even say anything. I hope Shelley never loses her Disney magic - and I think she's a great addition to Fantasyland and WDW!

I went on Peter Pan on 1/17 as well and didn't have such a good experience.

I'd fast passed it earlier in the day and queued up in the return line around 5:50pm. It was shift change time and the girl who had been meshing the 2 lines was very upset. Someone had sat on the chain at the end of the queue and broken it earlier, but maintenance hadn't come to fix it yet. In front of all the guests she was telling the CM taking over for her how terrible the day was going and how rude guests were being, etc.

I completely felt her pain and wanted to give her a hug because she looked to be at the end of her rope, but at the same time it kinda killed some of the magic.

I wish I'd have seen Shelley! I mean, I was there around that exact time!

Oh my gosh - how terrible!

The more I think of it, it had to have been earlier in the day. I know it was still light out, and after Fantasyland I still did Tomorrowland, and I ended the day in Adventureland (I was out of the park right before Spectro at 7). I got a FP, did Philharmagic and Snow White....it must have been like 12:30, more in the afternoon (I must be getting old - it was less than a week ago!).

I feel so badly about what happened later! Sorry you had a bad experience :o
