Lobster Rolls

Also:
Boardwalk Bakery
Contempo Cafe in the Contemporary (at least they had one there about 6 months ago)
One of the mobile Disney food trucks featured a lobster roll as well. (I saw the truck at DHS over the holidays, but they might have moved the truck somewhere else now. Maybe DTD.)
Also, the Crews Cup lounge has some really good little lobster salad sliders. Not a lobster roll per se, but I think they are darn tasty.

You CANNOT find a proper lobster roll at WDW, You CAN get a roll with mayo with some lobster bits in it, A proper lobster roll is a fresh hot dog roll with lobster meat in it lightly dressed with fresh mayo or miracle whip but not really enough to affect the taste of the lobster it's there more to hold the lobster in the roll.

These can be found anywhere from northern Conn to anywhere along the Maine coast.

Some of the best in the world can be found at Red's Eat's in Wiscasset ME but be prepared for a WDW price $18 bucks last year!!!

I heard the one from CHH is gross. There's supposed to be a good one from one of the food trucks in DTD but they want 18$ for it:eek:

Speaking as a native New Englander, do yourself a favor and do *not* get anything called a "lobster roll" in WDW. :-)
Though to be honest, lobster rolls were never my thing. I'm more of a clam roll kinda guy, but I can still speak on authority that WDW lobster rolls are *not* authentic. (Heck, a McLobster from McDonald's is probably better...)

The past few years, I always enjoyed the Lobster Roll at CHH. This year, it seemed to have less lobster, more mayo, and too much onion. Didn't like it nearly as much. :(

I also had the lobster roll at the harbor house and it is a definite pass from now on. While I won't say it was horrid or anything, its just not worth it.

There's a few places here's a list:

Artist Palette (SSR) Lobster Club
Boardwalk Bakery (BWR) Lobster Roll
Captains Grille (YCR) Lobster Roll
Columbia Harbour House (MK) Lobster Roll (Not my favorite)
Crew's Cup (YCR) Lobster Sliders (Best on property)
Fulton's (DTD) Lobster & Shrimp Roll
Hurricane Hanna's (BCR) Lobster & Shrimp Roll

I don't think that anyone goes to WDW with the intention of finding a true, proper lobster roll. That being said, the closest thing is at CHH. I had one a couple of trips ago and it was fairly tasty and filling but with too much bread.

We just got back from our stay at the Beach Club and I tried the lobster, shrimp and crab(?) roll at Hurricane Hanna's. The seafood in it was good but the dressing was not like a traditional lobster roll. I have a lot of family in Massachusetts and we have had many while vacationing on Cape Cod and the one at WDW just didn't compare. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't great. Haven't tried the one at CHH though. That one may be better. Good luck!

+1 for Red's. And be prepared to wait a while.
