lobster at the coral reef

I don't see lobster on the "coral Reef" menu. We have the free dining plan and want to try to eat lobster for free. If an item is not on the menu, but available, is it an extra charge?

Currently whole lobster or lobster tail is not on the menu at the Coral Reef Restaurant. If lobster is listed as an entree at a participating restaurant, then it will be included on the Disney Dining Plan. If it is listed as a "side item" then you will need to pay for it A la carte.

the lobster bisque at the coral reef is REALLY good!

While I feel that the coral reef can be "hit or miss", i've never been disappointed in the bisque. Many times DW and I will go to Coral Reef just for a drink (or two...she loves the chocolate martinis) and a bowl of the bisque.

I brought a group of 10 (including myself) to WDW a few years ago for Spring Break. Not one of us was full from Coral Reef's entrees. Several of us went and got quick service food immediately after we ate there. Beware!

You should have had appetizers and deserts. That would have filled you up.

Just as a heads up -- Lobster is NEVER free on the Dining plan, even when they have it, and even at signature restaurants with two credits -- Lobster is always ala carte and an added charge. I'll second the 2-lobster tail at Capt'n Jacks as one of the few Lobster dishes on the dining plan -- most likely to get people down there to the restaurant which had gone down hill significantly over the years. One caveat -- the 2 lobster tail entree is NOT a regular menu item there -- it comes and goes, and their menu changes from day to day.
