The shooting schedule was intense for Duff, balancing with her show. "The last, the very last day of 'Lizzie McGuire', the last season, I flew to Vancouver to do 'Cody Banks' the very next day. So, it was crazy and they started filming two weeks before I was done with 'Lizzie McGuire'. So, on the weekends, I was flying to Vancouver and doing scenes."
Just two months after 'Cody Banks' opens, Duff will have The Lizzie McGuire Movie in theaters. "It's actually really cool because the TV show, there's still four more episodes left, but no one has seen the TV show and they're still trying to keep rerunning them, I guess. So, the last one shows us leaving middle school and going to high school. So, it doesn't actually show the graduation, but then, the movie picks up where the TV show ends. So, the four episodes are going to be leading up to the movie and in the movie, it's like the graduating class gets to go on a class trip to Rome. It was amazing because we actually got to go to Rome and Lizzie McGuire gets mistaken for an Italian rock star. It's really cool. When we went to Rome, we didn't film any interior shots. So, it was all exterior and you get to see a lot of it in the movie, a lot of sights. We got to go into the Trevi Fountain. It's so funny because they actually built that, it took them like a hundred years, just because some prince wanted a view off of his balcony where he lived. So, it's really funny. Where else, we went to like the Spanish Steps and Tivoli Gardens and the Coliseum. So, it was amazing. We didn't film at the Vatican, but I went to the Vatican [on my own]."
Agent Cody Banks opens Friday. The Lizzie McGuire Movie opens in May.
Why would Disney not try to make more? It was bring in good rating for the Channel.
