Lizzie McGuire coming back to Disney+

One of the most popular Disney Channel sitcoms of the 2000’s is coming back as Disney+ is set to launch a new Lizzie McGuire revival series!

Hillary Duff, who played the teen with the animated alter-ego, will reprise her role in the sequel series, which follows a now 30-year-old Lizzie as she navigates life in New York. Her animated alter-ego will also be back.

Lizzie McGuire ran from 2001 to 2004, and also had the theatrical The Lizzie McGuire Movie starring Duff, which grossed $55 million at the global box office, and also spawned music releases.

Original series creator Terri Minsky is returning to the fold to run the new series.

I wonder if it'll be a similar premise to Girl meets World and Fuller House revivals. Basically seeing Lizzie trying to handle adulthood and parenthood.

I hope it gets revived in the future.

And obviously she has no issue working for the Mouse as she's starring in the Hulu show "How I Met Your Father". So there is always hope they come back together and find a way to make it happen. Maybe even have it on Hulu/Star if the show runners want a more mature theme.
