First off, what was that Cast Member's name? Next time you get a "Six Flags" response, report it to Guest Relations. . . at least the image you gave me was very inappropriate.KevinPage said:This past weekend when I went on Living with the Land, they did not play the song. Any idea if this has been going on for awhile?
A CM I asked gave me a Six Flags response (shrugged shoulders, rolled his eyes and then looked away from me).
Honestly, I've never heard of this. I am quite curious. . . especially since you are saying since 1996.KevinPage said:I guess I'm going nuts, but I thought the boat stopped near the beginning where there are video screens on your left side and they played Listen or Living to/with the Land theme song.
I could have sworn it was there earlier this year or late last year. Or I could be mixing it up with one of my previous vacation between now and 1996.

There aren't any video screens, at least in the beginning, but in the 1982-1994 version, there were video screens after the greenhouse section and the theme song played directly after those.
OHHHH, the barn sequence! A song has never played in there for Living with the Land as far as I am aware. Instead, it's a guitar music loop.KevinPage said:Okay, technically it is film screens on your left after you go through the house and before you get to the greenhouse. While you are going by narration talks about how different places are doing "such and such" to make food, blah, blah blah. Sometimes you will see black and white footage.
They then have the same thing at the end of the ride with the Nestle logo and people's faces.
BUT they used to play the song, I can sing it in my head right now. I do't have it on any CD, so I only know it from the ride.
The Land said:Let's listen to the Land we all love
Nature's plan will shine above
Listen to the Land, Listen to the Land. . .
Alright, now I have no idea. Has anyone else seen this? I am VERY interested to know what is being described here.KevinPage said:All I know is that the boat would stop for maybe 1 minute or less, a song would play wth people singing while you watched the film screens on your left. The screens would always be ON as you approached them and as you left the area, on a continous loop
Well, this ain't anything new. JIYI had no song until the rehab. . . same goes for Test Track and UoE.Becky said:Ah, those were the days The song "Just make believe you're a tiny little seed" sung by children Now you get a lecture instead of a song. :lookaroun SSE had "Tomorrow's Child" . I guess if we like the song they get rid of it.

Yup, that is the EXACT area that played Listen to the Land back in the 1980s/early 90s. Right now, it's the instrumental Living with the Land theme, which is composed of several light woodwind instruments. . . which is also heard in the beginning before the rainstorm section and in the queue loop.FatBoy976 said:I think you are thinking of the area after the green house, right before you disembarke from the boats. I don't remember what music was playing there, but there was definetly music.
One possibility is that the sound system was simply down. Things like that happen you know.

Nope. Neither the instrumental NOR lyrics of "Listen to the Land" can be heard anywhere in the Living with the Land boat ride.KevinPage said:I hope I know what I'm talking about after all of this  :lookaroun
The song could have been played at the ending film screens as well, I'm not 100% positive.
But currently there is no actual SINGING of lyrics in the ride?
Yup, you are correct in the new attraction's title and that the original version did feature the song at the end of the ride.WDWFanatic said:If i recall correctly listen to the land was played at the end of the ride. The version that was played in recent years was a little bit different than the original. isnt the ride called living with the land now?
