Living Seas/Nemo Question?

I went to the Living Seas like in September and all they had opened was the theatre and the elevator took you directly to I guess you could say the post show area the big room before you go out into the park. Was that because of the Nemo changes or what? And do they still have to ride part where you ride through the aquarium on both sides of you? Just asking cause I don't know much about it, but it sounds like the Nemo stuff is coming along good.:sohappy:

You may want to do a search on this site for the Living Seas. There have been at least a half dozen threads talking about the closures and such to the pavillion. Also, the main page of wdwmagic.com has a good section on the Living Seas with valuable information on it.

Have a magical day!

The ride portion of the Living Seas was closed when I was there 2 years ago, and was still closed last week when we were there. It's got a permanent looking wall blocking it off (as opposed to a temporary "rehab" like wall).

My understanding was that the ride mechanism needed maintenance at about the time the pavilion lost it's sponsor.

You go into the first waiting room, and then have the option of seeing a 8 minute movie about underwater research, or going direct to the Hydrolators and to the sea base. They have a little room now directly to the left as you enter the sea base that has fish from the Nemo movies (although the thing that confused my daughter (2 1/2) was the tank that had about 20 clown fish and 1 blue Dory fish - - how can there be 20 Nemos and 1 Dory?). They had a Ray tank, balloon fish, etc.

The rest of the pavilion was the same.

In the first theater room, you asked if you wanted to see the introduction movie, or skip to Sea Base Alpha. Here 's the steps form both routes:

You see intro movie:
On to the next movie theater, where they showed how the ocean was created;
Next was the Hydrolators;
Next was the Sea Cabs(the ride to Sea Base Alpha);
And then ws the aqurium itself(Sea Base Alpha)

Without the intro movie:
Hydrolators;
Sea Cabs;
Aquarium.

Something neat... both theaters are still in tact. And when the overlay of the Nemo Project for Seas is complete, you'll no longer have the option of skipping the movie. Not to say it will be the same movie. And the SeaCabs are still just sitting there. :)

This is from Mouse Planet:

…There is a rumor going around that the upcoming Living Seas rehab will include an interactive “Talk to Crush” feature similar to the “Talk to Stitch” feature currently at Disneyland's Innoventions. The rehab may also possibly include the long-hoped-for return of the sea cabs, depending on the increase of traffic in the pavilion.

Sounds like a good idea and could be made ecucational.
BTW I know there are alot of Nemo/TLS threads going, this was the first one I came across, so I'm not sure if this (Talk to Crush)has been reported.

sounds to me like I'll be entering the attraction from the exit once again... I've never been a movie person, whether good movie or not.
