img215.jpg

Funny little towel critter waiting for us when we got to our room.

You can't really see it but the poly monorail station has tarps covering the outside with a sign indicating its under refurb.

Also, there is what looks like a pile driver where the north contemporary resort was. Also, the land has been cleared out. Its too dark for a pic but I will try tomorrow... G'night!

I love these life trip reports really gets me excited for next week at this time when I will be there. One question, how were the waits for everything? I can kind of make out the tip board but that does not tell the full story.

the crowds were very light... 30 min wait on TT. there was also some severe storms that passed through around 4 that might have cleared the parks out. I expect it to be light tomorrow

Contemporary construction is going strong... There is a crane digging deep holes for the foundation of something big... The auger drill had to be 6 stories tall... Ill take pics later
img250.jpg

Opening celebration for the morning at MK. Never gone to the park for an opening.
img251.jpg

Tomorrowland still closed when we got there... We were the sixth rocket on space mountain. The star effects were not working so it was really dark in space.
img252.jpg

My wife got to ride astro orbiter by her self for her birthday. She thought it was so fun not having any other rockets infront of her to spoil the view.
img253.jpg

Its still dead in the park.
img254.jpg

Riding the indy cars for the first time... The hundred times I've gone to wdw I have never ridden it.

Wow. You lucked out on no crowds and wait time.

I was at MGM and Disney yesterday and lines were terrible and the park was packed. I figured it was because it was Sunday. Weather was terrible, storming like crazy (well, for about an hour). Luckilly though, after the storm cleared, Splash Mountain had no wait at all, even though it said 30 minutes.

I'm jealous you had hardly any wait times at Epcot and it wasn't busy. I was there on Friday (again, probably wrong time to go but I was there for a specific reason) and wait times were atrocious. Fast passes were all gone so I literally rode nothing.

I was at Animal Kingdom briefly today (meeting some friends) and it was atrocious. PACKED like you wouldn't believe. Although FastPasses for Everest weren't working so they used the FastPass area as an entrance and wait was 30 minutes. Safari had 60 minute wait times. The line for Nemo was ridiculous.

I lucked out last week I guess on my birthday trip and pretty much hit everything with next to no wait.

What times did you hit the parks? What days again?
