Coke Corner Ragtime Piano
Golden Horseshoe Piano show

Haven’t heard the Coke Corner piano in a while. I want to say I saw the strawhatters fairly recently but I’m not sure. It’s been a long time since I walked into the Golden Horseshoe.

Yeah it looks like this was a pretty recent cut - I’m guessing they had to pay for Pixar stuff?

What I’m hoping is that it’s a seasonal cut and they will bring them back after Pixar fest? Maybe?

The Strawhatters are also the Christmas band

Straw Hatters were still there last weekend. Golden Horseshoe piano player was there when I went for food probably two weeks ago (though I'd happily lose that "performance" - it's seriously annoying lol - the Saloon can do way better).

But I'd be GUTTED if we lost the ragtime piano. That is as classic DL nostalgia as the Dapper Dans are. Just can't imagine losing the piano player.

Pretty sure I saw Hatter out there playing musical chairs - which requires the piano player - either last weekend or the weekend before.

So this would all be VERY recent if it happened. I'll keep an eye and an ear out.

So I found a post that May 4th was for sure the last day for piano at the horseshoe.

Neither strawhatters nor coke corner piano are listed on the app which make me think they were cut too but I don’t have any confirmation on that.

Strawhatters and Main Street Piano Player (presumably Mr. Coke Corner) are still listed on the entertainment guide for tomorrow on the Disneyland website.

You just have to click on "See all" for them to come up. So for those two, it seems like another instance of Disneyland's website and app not necessarily being as in sync as you would expect.

It's a bummer that there's nothing in the Horseshoe, but I can't say that I felt like one piano player is what that venue needs.

That’s very good news.

I really enjoyed the piano playing in the Horseshoe - but it was a pretty recent thing, post Covid I believe. Of course if nothing replaces it that’s the definition of death by a thousand cuts. It’s pretty silly that Knotts will pay Krazy Kirk but Disney won’t…. Heck even the small saloon at Knotts has both a piano player and a singer!

Knotts entertainment was taken over by a former head of DL entertainment who had a lot of DL performers follow him there when Disney started cutting shows.

Most of their Summer Nights and Halloween bands are Disney performers.

A lot of my friends who are park entertainment fans gave up their Disney passes for Knotts when all the bands went there.

On the DCA side, I saw the mic's out for 5 & Dime but didn't see the show. The Pixar parade seems to be sucking up all the oxygen over there. lol I tried to avoid the traffic of it when I can but it tends to block my way in and out of Avengers Campus a lot.
