He was super passionate about black adam and that didn't work out so well. If I were to guess, I'd say Moana was always going to be remade sooner rather than later. The rock might have helped fast tracked it a bit and Disney just went along with it. But it was the plan all along anyway.Oh there's a reason they are doing this. Unless there is some sort of Disney revolt from the fans, I can't see this being anything less than a big hit. The only way I see it not doing well is if Mermaid is an absolute dumpster fire. And even then I wouldn't bet against it.
