Little help with funeral attire

FIL passed this weekend, it wasn't completely unexpected as he was diagnosed with late kidney failure in December. I don't want to bug my MIL with questions about attire though, she just said funeral wear. (I've been to extremely formal to "we didn’t dress up for normal days, so don't dress up now" type) So ehhh.
Visitation is Thursday, hour for family, then rosary reading and open to public. Friday is a non-denominational funeral as MIL side isn't Catholic.
DD13 outgrew her dress shoes from the holidays, and with a double wide size, I can't get her new ones in time without expedited shipping. She's wearing black slacks, black blazer, and white shirt. She thinks her black converse would be okay, they are clean and in good condition. I'm 50/50 on it though.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Under the circumstances with supply issues I'm sure it will be fine as long as she is nest and tidy as long as you would be comfortable taking her to a regular church service {{HUGS}}

I'm kind of on the fence about the converse. On the one hand, if it's what she has, it's what she has. On the other hand, I do think maybe it's a bit too casual for a funeral. You might want to check Amazon; they could have something to you by tomorrow. It doesn't have to be black either; this is what I wore to my aunt's funeral back in September...

Amazon was one of the first places I looked. Size and delivery was an issue even without limited to black. The XXW really limits her choices in general.
Those look so comfortable though.

Ugh.

Then it is what it is. I remember shoes being hard to find at 13, and I'm an 8, which is basically the easiest shoe size in the world to find. They were always too mature, or sometimes looked like I was borrowing my Mom's shoes. Thirteen was an awful age.

She might do well to have one or two pairs of flats on hand now that things are starting to open up, if for no other reason than school events where she might need them. Good thing Amazon exists now.

Yes amazon has been life saver with finding clothes and shoes for her generally. She's in 9-9.5 XXW in tennis shoes, definitely inherited from her dad. Hasn't reached 5ft still with curves to boot. She thinks it's funny to ask if I want some of the things she's outgrown now :rolleyes: I'm a stick figure.
