So I know Jack Wagner has done A LOT of work for Disney, and I figured I’d put together a list of his announcements and narrations. By no means is what I have complete, so if someone has anything to add or a correction to make, by all means, feel free to chime in (Especially since Bill Rogers eventually took over for the in park announcements in ‘94 which may mean Jack was replaced on something like the Fantasy in the sky fireworks before it ended). My list is VERY short with Disneyland, so any help there will be GREATLY appreciated. Anything with a “?” means I’m unsure For example “1971-2020?” means I’m uncertain about the 2020 end year, while something like “Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress?” means I’m not sure if Jack was involved with this or not (especially if I don’t list any years).

WDW Transportation
  • Monorail (1971-1987?; door closing announcement still in use)
  • Ferry (1972-1997?)
  • Bus?
  • Parking tram?
  • Motor cruiser boats? (1971?-1997?; not sure when they were built, hence the “?” After 1971)

Magic Kingdom
  • Peoplemover (1975-1983?; voice still heard when peoplemover stops)
  • Ride startup/stop announcements for peter Pan, Pooh, and Buzz lightyear (1971-present; Pooh and Buzz reuse the announcements from their predecessors)
  • Carousel of progress ride and figure start up announcements (1975-present)
  • Snow White’s scary adventures ride stop and start announcements (1971-2011)
  • Skyway? (1971-1999?; unsure if he was ever replaced)
  • Main Street Electrical parade (1977-1991;1999-2001; 2010-2016)
  • Fantasy in the sky (announcer 1976-2003)
  • Fantasy in the sky Halloween? (19??-2004; no idea of the start year, so it’s unclear if he ever did announcements for this)
  • Parade announcer (1971-1997?)
  • Walt Disney World Railroad station announcements? (1971-1988)
it’s a small world announcer (1971-198?; I think BJ ward replaced him at Disneyland at one point, but not sure if he ever did WDW’s)
  • Magic kingdom opening announcement (1971-199?; I’m not sure WHEN they started doing the morning show with the train)
  • Tomorrowland Grand Prix? (1971-1994)

EPCOT Center
  • Opening announcement (1982-1993; doubt he ever did anything for EPCOT 94 or EPCOT 95)
  • Illuminations (not R.O.E.) announcer? (1982-1996)

MGM (Hollywood) studios
  • Park opening announcement? (1988-1993?)

Disneyland
  • Matterhorn announcements (19??-present)
  • Peolplemover (1977-1982; evacuation and startup announcements were possibly still used until it closed).
  • Fantasy in the sky announcer
  • Opening and closing announcements (1970-1993)
  • Skyway announcer (197?-1995; not sure when he started narrating and if he was ever replaced)
  • Main Street Electrical Parade (1972-1996; 2017; 2019; voice was synthesized beginning in 1977)
  • Ticket booths (not DLRR) (1970-1993)
  • Monorail? (19??-19??)
  • Disneyland railroad (1970-present; station announcements are still by him, but not sure if he ever narrated)
  • Fantasy in the sky (1970?-1996; unsure whether or not he was used when the show returned
  • Parade and other announcements (1955-1995; full time in 1970)

outside of Disney parks
  • Various characters (198?-199?)
  • Training videos (1970-1991?)
  • Disneyland/WDW Advertisements (1970-1993)

Orlando International airport (MCO)
  • Shuttles to and from* gates 1-29 and 30-59 (1981-2017; voice removed when shuttles were replaced)
  • Shuttle to and from* gates 60-99 (1990-2013?; replaced when gates 60-69 closed)
  • Shuttle to and from* gates 100-129 (2000-2019; perhaps the last announcement featuring his voice (assuming his voice wasn’t edited). Replaced for unknown reasons**.)
  • Terminal announcer? (1981-2001?)
  • Fire alarm voice? (I know from memory (another story) the alarm features the voice of the guy who’s heard throughout the terminal, but not sure if Jack ever did this and when.)
*although he continued to be featured on the shuttle whenever it was heading to the gates, his voice was replaced in 2008 on all shuttles heading to the main terminal. This was likely because 1) as seen in at least 1 video, some airline passengers were being directed to baggage claim A instead of B and vice versa; 2) the need to direct people where to go for the baggage claim as well as “resort and other ground transportation options.”
**All other shuttle announcements were redone too. The only changes were referring to ”the shuttle” as either “the automated people mover” or “The APM” for short. Of all the announcements heard on the older shuttles, only the announcements when departing the gates for the terminal refer to the shuttles as “The shuttle.” My guess for this is because the newer shuttles are referred to as “the APM” by the text to speech voice used (which just sounds too generic and monotonous), but that still may not explain the reason for the change.

Correction:
for the Hollywood Studios Park opening announcement, it should be 1989 not 1988. Still not sure if Jack Wagner would have done anything for DHS, though.

Apparently Jack Wagner voiced Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Chip N Dale between 1985 till 1989 (Russi Taylor and Wayne's voices started appearing as early as Mickey's Birthdayland stage show"). From what I heard, Wagner could be the reason why Disney created the "Disney Character Voice International" in 1988. Jack Wagner also briefly voiced Donald Duck between 1985 and 1986 (before Tony Anselmo became used at the parks).

I miss Jack Wagner. He was the king of monorails spiels and park announcements... only equaled by whomever this was:
(I think he was a Hawaiian DJ).

You left out the Creme de la Creme of Wagner Spiels... the 30-minute Audio Tour for the Blind:

Shame WDW parks never got similar treatment.

EDIT: Mayb my ears are playing tricks and the first video IS wagner...

As of now the ones for Pooh and peoplemover have been updated, as far as I understand. For some context, I heard Tigger‘s voice doing a spiel on the former.
