Lion King Coming Back?

I heard a rumor the other day that Lion King (the origional) is coming back to theatres.. does anyone else know anything about this?? I would go and see it again in the theatre.. it is such a good movie and well thought!

It will be a limited release on IMAX and other large screens across the country. Mch like they did with Beauty and the Beast last year.

It's going to be on large screens (IMAX and others). It's going to be like Beauty and the Beast, except I don't know if any scenes are going to be added.

The way it sounds one classic movie is going to be released per year and then on video and DVD.

yeah I think they have an older movie each year they are going to rerelease. The lion could I think end up on regular movies screens if the IMAX does good. Like Fantasia 2000 did.

no new scenes! the only thing i heared was a new version of Circle of life and more detailed animation, animals in the backgrounds that didnt have a face will now have one! , i cant wait! if you saw Beauty and the Beast IMAX, you gotten a sneek preview on the Lion King IMAX

If they do start bringing out older movies and putting them on IMAX, I wouldnt mind seeing Little Mermaid there. Only for two scenes though... Under The Sea and the final battle with the giant Ursela (Imagine sitting in the front row for that clip when she starts to grow!!!)...

I've nearly wet myself every time I think about this! I'm so excited! I'm the BIGGEST lion king fanatic! This is, paws down, the best animated movie ever! Ok, enough. The poster is awesome, BTW, I just got mine from Ebay...The King has returned, baby, YEAH!

i hear you Chad, I watched my VHS again and is like i cant wait to see IMAXed, and the preview at the IMAX when i went to see Beauty and the Beast just blew me off is awesome!
