Hi, first let me apologize for posting this in what is most likely the wrong forum but I wasn't sure where this fit in. I am trying to get my niece good tickets to Lion King on Broadway for her birthday. Unfortunatly, I am unable to find any ticketmaster codes and was wondiering if anyone knew of any codes or reputable places I could buy tickets. Thanks!!

This show has been a hit since the day it came out over 10 years ago. The only time I really saw discounts was when they did the Buy one, get one offer for a kids ticket a few months ago. Even then, seats were extremely limited. You are most likely going to have to pay regular price for these, which of course are expensive. I would have to say though, if you are going to see any broadway show...it should be this one. The show is absolutely phenomenal.

Yup I got that deal (bogo free) back in december. I puchased the tickets for next month March 12 & 13 (March 13 is my Brithday) for lion king & little mermaid:sohappy: and I cant wait. This is the first time Im going to see these shows & Im so excited:sohappy:. I cant wait:p

Good luck I hope you find a deal. I think this would be a great brithday present. I took my daughter to see Beauty & the Beast & she loved it. To bad they're closed it:cry:

If you live in the city (or nearby) You could go to the tickets booth the day of the show and you could get tickets for 1/2 off but you have to get there before 9am. The line is long and tickets sell out fast. Hope that helps.

The discount Ticket Booth (TKTS) never has Lion King tickets. The show sells out on its own, so there is no reason to put tickets there. Mary Poppins and Little Mermaid are usually available though.

Great choice!! I've seen it twice and love love love it!

I've never seen ticket discounts either but I will say don't be shy about sitting up a bit higher. It'll obviously cost less and you can still see everything that is going on. You can even bring in little binoculars if you really want an up close view. Hope you get a chance to see the show!!

All the more reason for Disney to build a theater in DTD and run Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Tarzan, Little Mermaid and Mary Poppins.

I agree. Those shows don't belong on Broadway to begin with and would more appropriately belong at Disneyworld, freeing up the theaters they occupy for real Broadway shows.

I think they can belong on Broadway but its not about being on Broadway. Disney is just trying to keep there name out there. Not everyone can make it to Disney and sometimes seeing a play in NY is the only way the can experience Disney.

Those shows definitely belong on Broadway, but it would be nice to be able to see them in the resort too! Especailly Beauty and the Beast since that ones no longer running.

No, they don't. And as someone who works on Broadway, I assure you that the vast majority of people who earn their living on Broadway don't think Disney shows are worthy enough for Broadway.

For not belonging on Broadway they sure do well selling tickets. I have seen Broadway shows other than Disney and still think there is a place for them there. What qualifies one show more "Broadway" than another?
