DO you think it has what it take to take number one for an opening weekend (make more than Spider-Man 114 million.)
And do you think it will be a "Lion King" and take number one for animation? There's been tons on so thats why I asked and lots of people are look forward to see it.

yes it will do well, but I think you set too high a standard by pairing it against Spiderman, a movie it isn't even in competition with. I don't think it will be a Lion King, but I could very easily see it as another Little Mermaid.

I think it will do fairly well at the box office. As others have said, I don't think it will another Spiderman
Two reasons:
1.) Not even close to the same amount of hype.
2.) Not as broad of an appeal. Even though I think Lilo & Stitch has appeal for all ages, its not as much as Spiderman. I think L&S looks great but I bet its easier to get a group of friends to go to Spiderman vs. Lilo & Stitch. Whether I agree with that or nor, thats a fact of the average movie goer.

Also, on if it will get #1, I don't think there's a chance unfortunately.
Bourne Identity, Scooby-Doo, and Windtalkers open the weekend before and Minority Report open the same weekend (which I have a feeling will blow everything else away.)

I really hate to say this but,
I think it's going to bomb and that hurts considering how much I love Disney.
It will never be a Lion King ,
that was one of Disney's best.

Oh, I saw previews for this, how disappointing. What were they thinking!!! I think they could have done a lot better on "The Country Bears" I just thought it looked really stupid and I love CBJ. Oh well. Isn't there supposed to be a Haunted Mansion movie, now THAT could be really good if done right.

Lilo and Stitch I think will be a Mulan maybe

I agree with you on that. I want to see "The Country Bears" and I think its looks good, but that is a hard sell for marketing to make. As much I hate to say this, its hard to sell that concept to the general public.

Well, it's not "Classic Disney" which may bother some people a bit but it has a sort of John Lasseter feel to it to me (the guy behind the Pixar movies) so I think that's a very good sign. :)
