Ok I have a biased opinio because I work for DVC and believe in Disney Vacation Club.
Liki Tiki is crap to me. The first phase of it are all old apartments from the 70's, the second phase is better. But to me it is nothing compared to all the other places available out there, especially on Disney property.

It has a nice recreation area, but still low scale and cheap. It just doesn't satisfy my tastes, being on WDW property spoils me.
I hope you enjoy your trip and that you are pleased there. Have you ever stayed on property? May I ask how much the accomodations are costing you?

I'm an ASA, which means I am in the parks and the resorts everyday at one of our Info Desks. I educate Guests briefly about DVC and schedule a time for their Open House visit to Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa.
I love it!

In fact I gotta get ready, I am heading to All Star Movies tonight to work - on my birthday no less :)

I am using it as an exchange for one of the timeshares my grandparents own in Cancun. They are in their 80's now and just really can't travel the way they did when they purchased their weeks. I would rather help them out and use their weeks and pay all their fees so that they don't pay the fees and the week goes to waste. It is costing $1000 for the week. If you go on the Liki Tiki site it is around $2100 for the 3 bedroom for the week we are going.

I have stayed on site most recently at Old Key West. I did enjoy staying on site(especially since we got engaged on the bridge at the resort!!!!!!!) but also enjoy staying off too. Makes no difference to me. OUr last few trips down there we have done the timeshare exchange as well and stayed at Horizons by Marriott right near Seaworld. It is a very easy drive to the parks and with my 2 year old I would still drive to the parks even if I was on site b/c what a pain to use the busses with a stroller!

I have been so spoiled with the separate bedrooms, living room, and full kitchen. Full washer and dryer too!!! I don't think I can ever stay in a regular hotel room for more than a night or 2 ever again!!! And yes I know the DVC places have the same set ups but like I said we use weeks already bought so they don't go to waste.

I do plan on becoming a DVC member someday but for now this is the way for me to go, have fun, help 2 wonderful people out, etc.

P.S. Happy Birthday Magic Maker!!!!:sohappy:

I will definately be at the parks when I go. That is why I go. My son just loves the characters as much as my husband and I do! And of course the attractions as well! It truly is a magical place!!!!
